Minnesota State Flag and Seal Proposal
I participated in the Minnesota state flag and seal redesign process in 2023. The Minnesota State Emblems Redesign Commission received more than 2,600 entries. While my concept didn’t make it to the round of finalists, I enjoyed being part of this historic process.
My design incorporates a mosaic of shapes and colors that symbolize the state’s natural resources, diversity, and industries. The six-point structure suggests a snowflake crystal, while the North Star in the center embodies light emanating energy outward. The yellow, green, and blue colors reflect the harmony of all Minnesotans.
